About this event

Join the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, the Ontario Medical Association, and Roche Canada for an interactive webinar focused on digital health and virtual care.

Long before COVID-19, Ontario’s health care system faced numerous pressures and growing costs. The pandemic has now put the health care system into the spotlight. There is an urgent need to address looming healthcare concerns, support the province’s aging population, and prepare for future crises. Virtual care and digital health can play a key role in transforming Ontario’s health care system – from the fax machine to the availability of modern solutions.

By connecting health-care providers digitally and empowering patients to manage their health through digital health solutions, Ontarians can access timely and appropriate care, no matter their circumstances. These solutions will be critical to addressing the backlog in care, improving patient outcomes, and alleviating the burden on Ontario’s health care system, such as reducing unnecessary visits to the ER.

What can policymakers do to improve virtual care in Ontario? How are other jurisdictions advancing virtual care and digital health, and what can Ontario learn from them? What comes next for digital health in Ontario? Speakers will respond to these questions and highlight opportunities to modernize health care in Ontario and beyond.
