About this event

Climate change is a threat to communities in Ontario and around the world. Recognizing that net-zero is no longer a distant ambition but an urgent necessity, businesses in Ontario are adopting innovating solutions to lead the global transition.

On November 4, join the Ontario Chamber of Commerce for the release of its latest policy report, The Climate Catalyst: Ontario’s Leadership in the Green Global Economy.

Our virtual report launch event will feature a panel of experts – from the energy, transportation, insurance, and post-secondary sectors – to share how they are confronting climate change and what kinds of policies should be implemented to support them.

Speakers Include:

  • Rocco Rossi - President & CEO, Ontario Chamber of Commerce
  • Claudia Dessanti - Senior Manager of Policy, Ontario Chamber of Commerce
  • Arthur Lofsky - Director, Government Relations and Climate Adaptation Lead, Insurance Bureau of Canada
  • John Beauchamp - Director, Environment, Healthy and Safety, OPG
  • David Sinton - Professor of mechanical engineering and Head of the Sinton Lab, University of Toronto
  • Cara Lynn-Wade - Manager of Energy Transition Planning, Enbridge Gas Inc.
